At the moment there is no direct evidence that CBD can help treat Erectile Dysfunction (ED), but CBD is able to help with health issues caused by or related to erectile dysfunction.
Erectile Dysfunction and Multiple Sclerosis:
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a chronic autoimmune disease that affects the central nervous system, brain and spinal cord. The severity of the disease depends on each individual.
Symptoms occurs when the immune system unintentionally attacks the fibers that are meant to protect the nerves known as Myelin.
Break down in communications between the brain and the body resulting in: fatigue, difficulty in walking, numbness, tremors, vision impairment, vertigo, muscle weakness, coordination and difficulties in balance.
Erectile Dysfunction may be a side effect of multiple sclerosis as numbness and muscle weakness are symptoms of MS.
Studies have shown that anxiety can cause ED. Anxiety affects the body's stress response and blood flow which are two essential factors that help with erection.
Chronic stress, depression, personality disorder and PTSD are risk factors that causes erectile dysfunction.

CBD interacts with the Endocannabinoid System which are neurotransmitters located throughout your body. The ECS is responsible in regulating mood, appetite, emotion, behavior, pain management and memory.
How CBD can help with Erectile Dysfunction:
CBD helps relief stress and anxiety by interacting with serotonin in your brain allowing your mind to be more at ease.
CBD has antidepressant, antipsychotic and antiepileptic properties which help regulate and bring balance in your mental health.
Scientists have found that CBD can help with nerve pain and inflammation with the nerves and nerve injuries.
CBD help decrease nicotine and cigarette craving which can help boost your body' performance.
CBD promotes better sleep which will help your body to repair, recharge and rejuvenate.
World Health Organisation states that CBD is safe and most side effects happen when used in combination with other medications. However, there are some risk involved with using CBD too: diarrhea, dry mouth, changes in appetite, irritability and in some very rare and extreme cases liver injury may occur. It is recommended that you consult your doctor or professional medical caregiver if you are interested in using CBD for erectile dysfunction.
National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases have advice that people who are suffering from ED or may be at risk of erectile dysfunction should quit smoking, limited alcohol consumption, participate in physical activities and eat more healthy foods like vegetables and fruits.
