Choosing the right CBD product like any health supplements may be difficult and challenging at first, we at Mellow Organic would like to help you make the right choices for your own well being.
CBD is in demand now and it's pretty clear why. It has been tested and tried out by millions of people around the world for its pain relieving, anti-inflammatory properties, stress and anxiety reduction and the ability to promote better sleep among the benefits of CBD. When it comes to CBD people expect it to be safe, organic, free from harmful chemicals, nontoxic, non-addictive and has very little minor side effects, but sadly theses days like every good thing there is always a fake CBD floating around in the market and we do not want you to waste your time, money and health on fake CBD.
Here are some pointers to help you avoid buying fake CBD:
Check the the Content
You have to make sure that the CBD products comply with the legal limits. CBD products made from Full Spectrum should not contain more than 0.3% THC. While in the US the federal law allows CBD to not exceed 0.3% and in Thailand 0.2% THC. Anything exceeding 0.3% THC may not be right for you.
Do Your Research On The Brand
Look up information on a brand that you are interested in. Check their website. Make sure that they are transparent about their products. Look for product reviews and make sure that the brand is reputable.
Ask for Third-Party Lab Reports
Any reputable brand will have their lab test reports attached or imprinted in the labels/instruction sheet. The lab reports should clearly state the contents of the CBD product and confirm the quality of the product. There should also be testing for harmful chemicals, microbials and heavy metals. If the brand is reluctant or refuses to produce their test reports then think twice about buying from them. We also call these lab reports as Certificate of Analysis.
Avoid Unrealistic Claims
If a brand makes unrealistic and over the top claims about their product, then it's time to rethink your strategy. If it's too good to be true then trust your guts. Fact check the information given on the internet first.
Check Ingredients
An authentic CBD brand should have a clear list of ingredients. Avoid products with too many additives and unclear components. A good CBD product like CBD oil should only include CBD, cannabinoids and carrier oils like MCT oil for example. Some may have organic flavor additives too.
Some People Will Stick With Full Spectrum or Broad Spectrum CBD
This is true because full Spectrum or Broad Spectrum CBD may include CBD, THC and other cannabinoids like CBG, CBN, CBC, THCa or CBDa, flavonoids and terpenes and fake CBD would not go out of their way to supply this much component to their products. This is not to say CBD made from CBD Isolate may be a fake–any reputable brand can produce a proper COA to help make sure that their product is high quality.
Verify the Source
It's always good to know the source of the CBD product. CBD should come from a reputable farm and manufacturer and bonus point if it is organically made.
Pricing
If the pricing is not right or if a brand offers their product with a price that is too low then think again. Shop around and consider the size of the product with the amount of CBD supplied.
Look for Product Reviews or Recommendations
Ask for product reviews or search the net and find out what people think about the brand and their products. Ask your peers if they have experience with buying a CBD product. Most important of all, consult with your medical provider and get recommendations on the best CBD products to use.
Follow these guidelines and you can guarantee to have a pleasant experience with CBD.
