What is Full Spectrum CBD?

What is Full Spectrum CBD?

Over hundreds of cannabinoids are found in the cannabis plants and the two most well known are CBD and THC. CBD is often extracted from hemp plant for higher levels of CBD. On the other hand THC is extracted from cannabis plants for higher levels of THC. Both CBD and THC have similar medicinal properties that help with pain, chronic pain, inflammation, nausea, motion sickness, mood disorders, psychosis, sleep, insomnia, stress, anxiety, depression or low appetite. These two components may have similar chemical structure, but CBD doesn't produce a high from THC and does not cause you to have any euphoric sensation while THC may cause you to feel high as it has psychoactive properties.

Now before we start talking about Full Spectrum CBD you should know that there are three kinds of CBD oil available in the market. CBD Isolate is pure CBD without THC or any other cannabinoids. Broad Spectrum CBD contains CBD and other cannabinoids without THC and then we have Full Spectrum CBD includes CBD and other cannabinoids including THC. The amount of THC is 0.3% or less.

Full Spectrum CBD is a type of CBD that has got all the best components from the cannabis plants. It contains all the cannabinoids such as CBD and THC which is responsible for therapeutic and psychoactive effects from the cannabis plant. Full Spectrum contains terpenes. There are over 150 terpenes in the cannabis plant. Terpenes are responsible for causing fragrance in plants and have therapeutic properties like anti-inflammatory and analgesic. Full Spectrum also includes flavonoids. There are over 20 flavonoids found in cannabis plant. It is responsible for creating flavors and has therapeutic properties like anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective properties.

Full Spectrum CBD has an entourage effect which means that since it contains all the components from the cannabis plant it will work best together yielding better results. Full Spectrum may be more effective when treating seizures, muscle spasms, chronic pain, insomnia, anxiety, stress, mood disorder, treatment for psychotic disorders, pain relief or anti-inflammation as it contains larger amounts of CBD, THC and other cannabinoids.

Things you should know before choosing Full Spectrum CBD. Side effects even though maybe minor but you may experience fatigue, diarrhea and changes in appetite. Avoid Full Spectrum if you do not want THC in your CBD product. THC may cause intoxication or make you feel high.

Check with local laws before you decide to purchase your next CBD product. In Thailand any CBD product with 0.2% or less of THC is legal while in some countries it is allowed up to 0.3%. You should always ask for lab test or COA from reputable CBD brands. Make sure that they are transparent about the product and do not make unsupported medical claims.

Research has shown that combining CBD with THC can promote better results so if you are looking for a product that can maximize the full potential from a cannabis plant then Full Spectrum CBD is your answer.
