Why Mixing CBD With THC Is A Good Idea

Why Mixing CBD With THC Is A Good Idea

When you hear about cannabis you will probably think of THC and CBD. Both of them are the most well known cannabinoids from the cannabis plant. When you put THC into your CBD it will enhance the effects of CBD and create an entourage effect making your CBD much more effective for your body. On the other hand CBD can also counter the psychoactive effects of THC. We will be discussing all of this today.

Let's answer some questions today.

What is the Entourage Effect?

Entourage Effect in theory is when all the compounds from the cannabis plant work together giving a more enhanced effect than when taken alone. For example, CBD product made from Full Spectrum CBD which includes CBD, THC, CBG, CBN, CBDa, THCa and other cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids along with healthy fatty acids like Mellow Organic Full Spectrum 1,800mg CBD Oil would give the maximum benefit CBD has to offer for your body as it contains all the sources was from the cannabis plant. But if you are looking for just CBD and nothing else from the cannabis plant then you would've to you choose CBD products made from CBD Isolate. CBD Isolate is CBD that is processed to contain only CBD and eliminates all the other components from the cannabis plant. This is not to say that CBD Isolate is bad, but CBD Isolate is great for people that are looking for just CBD and no THC. Mellow Organic also had its own CBD isolate product as in Mellow Organic 900mg CBD Oil available in Natural and Orange flavor.

The similarities of CBD and THC goes to the structural makeup of it. Both CBD and THC have 21 carbon atoms, 30 hydrogen atoms and 2 oxygen atoms.

CBD and THC interact with the endocannabinoid system which consists of receptors and neurotransmitters that are responsible for regulating mood, memory, pain sensation, immune system, appetite and focus.

CBD and THC have similar health benefits when it comes to pain relief, inflammation, sleep, nausea, motion sickness, neuroprotective properties, depression, anxiety, stress and managing seizures. While CBD may be more beneficial towards stress, anxiety and depression, THC may have the edge for sleep, relaxation and pain management.

THC binds with the CB1 receptors of the endocannabinoid system and causes your brain to feel "high" or euphoria helping you to relax and sleep better.

The psychoactive effects of these two cannabinoids are totally different. While THC in high amounts can cause you to feel high and euphoric, CBD does not have that effect. High potency CBD can reduce and cancel the psychoactive effects of THC. This way you can get the benefits from both without worrying about getting high.

Now, it's a great time to let CBD enhance your body and mental health. Just a reminder of the golden rule: start with a low dosage and work your way to find the best dosage that works for you. We encourage everyone new to CBD to experiment with dosage until you find what's right for you. There is no such thing as the right dosage when it comes to CBD. Also, consult with your medical provider first.
